AUDIONIMUS
INTERVIEW

How was the approach to the psychedelic trance?
Aaron was into different kinds of electronic music for some time already when suddenly psy- people started to enter his life from all possible directions. He soon started to visit psychedelic parties, but more for the people than for the music, which he considered boring and preferred Drum & Bass. But one special night he finally went to a party with a Darkpsy - floor, and the love was instantly there and never left again :) Daniel had his musical roots from complex sub-genres of metal, wich gave him the Idea of complexity and chaotic structures drawing a bigger picture. The idea has been growing with friendships, so it would end up leading onto Dark psychedelic parties and meeting with Aaron who, as we discovered quickly, has the same approach of psychedelic music than Daniel.
Why is your project called Audionimus?
The good old story... Daniels musical ego was called Animus, and Aaron called himself Audio Genesis, so when we started to make music together we just mixed the two and Audionimus was born. It wasn't supposed to stay like that, since there is the unwanted similarity to the group anonymous and we both didn't like it in the beginning, but over time we love it more and more and even found some interesting meanings and interpretations for it. So audionimus is the one, who can be anything and anyone growing and shrinking into any idea, willingly or unwillingly.
How has the result of your project been since it started?
Well we started out making Hitech, without much intention just for fun and to make people dance, but not long after that we discovered a deeper and more diverse palette of experiences that we were able to transmit through music. Around that time we also moved together and made exploring the psychedelic experience through music our main life content. This was when we made our first album "the effect of world and environment". From there on we kept shaping our sound in resonance to the new experiences we constantly had and have, into what we do today, but also that is still a process which will never come to an end.

What are the influences of Audionimus?
One very important influence on our way was without a doubt Yaminahua, who showed us the path that brought us from Hitech into the experimental world, and taught us the art of integrating quiet into high-energy music. As we later explored the Psycore- scene a great inspiration for us was MirrorMe, and we are very happy that now we can call him a friend and look back on collaborations with him. In that time also the early works of Oroboro were a constant companion and helped us find our own sound. To point out their collaboration with Audiosynthax called Knusperjungs. There are many more names that would deserve to be mentioned here, but one of them keeps the Psycore-family together like no one else, he not only inspired us musically and still does, but also through his energy that can be felt in the entire Psychedelic- universe, and that is Cindervomit.
Recommends 5 psy artists to the readers, please
My by far favorite psy-artist at the moment is without a doubt Enigmachina. I will not try to explain his sound, please try and listen. And still this is about going with the flow, and allowing different directions to come, even if it might be forcing. I'd like to recommend: K-Owl, Rysavy, Nox, Polygonia.
To which record labels you belong?
Anomalistic Records, Painted Chaos Project, Sacred Sound, Mighty Vibration Rec y Wachuma Rec.
With which artists he has collaborated Audionimus ?
Rysavy, MTRL, Cindervomit, Oroboro, MirrorMe, Audiosynthax, Belfegor, Potzmann, kingo, psydonym .. i hope I I remembered all.
What advice do you give new producers looking for a place in the scene?
For me the most important thing about making psychedelic music, as well as probably anything else in life, is the intention. Don't worry to much about techniques but rather be sure about why you want to make music, what message you want to deliver. Never get stuck in routine when making music, don't be afraid to develop your very own sound and even to fuck what you thought was your very own sound and again do something completely different. Stay experimental and keep trying new things. Don't make music just to "do what the cool kids do",but be honest and challenge yourself. If you get that right, everything else will happen by itself.

In which festivals has your project been presented?
Small, heart driven festivals around the globe (:
Tell us a little more about your most recent album "Oro En El Espejo", please...
Oro en el Espejo means something like Gold in the Mirror, regarding of an inspiration, of the idea self criticism, that leads and forces our personality. During the time we have started the idea of that album, we were lucky to get in touch with the artist who have been always inspired us. So we got lucky to make this idea come to reality.
What is the purpose of your Audionimus project?
Changing some deep rooted ideas about borders in musical ways. Trying always to transform our style into something that might change from minute to minute, keeping the unexpected always as a possible companion, in order to always transform our inner world to a message and heal the confusion we get transmitted from a rather fast world and feel peace (:
